Kali Mur

Sometimes the smaller remedies are really characteristic, and that is true for Kali muriaticum. If there is one word to sum up this remedy, it is the word white.

Everything is white.

The discharges are white. They are also sticky, thick, and maybe slimy or lumpy.

There may be a thick white, or grey, coating on the tongue.

The mucous is thick and white. The mucous is hard to bring up, and the glands on the neck are swollen.

If there is a cough, it is loud and noisy, with a rattly sound.

The tonsils may be badly swollen, making it hard to breath, and may have greyish patches on them.

It often effects the middle ear, which may be inflamed, filled with catarrh and sore.

The stools may be light coloured. Rich food can bring on indigestion.

Kali mur has symptoms that are worse for motion too, a bit like Bryonia.

Kali mur is one of the body’s 12 cell salts, the basic minerals human cells are reduced to if all water and organic matter is removed. If the body is lacking in potassium chloride, Kali mur, the release of albumin will occur, which is a thick protein made in the liver. Albumin is said to be difficult to expel. Just like the mucous symptoms of this remedy, and that is your reason.

Kali mur is often thought of in the second stage of inflammation, when the fever starts to recede. It can be a fantastic tonic to aid healing.

This remedy can be used as a cell salt or in other potencies as indicated.

So, if things are white, remember Kali mur and take a look to see if the case matches.
