I get asked this a lot.
If a newborn baby could do with a homeopathic remedy straight after birth.
Birth can feel like a lot, for everyone involved.
Do they need something to help them recover?
There are a few things to consider here.
Birth is a natural process.
We, all of us, are designed to do it.
That, however, does not mean it is always easy.
Quite far from it for many of us.
Things that can occur for little ones following the birth process – they can look shocked (I mean, how could they not be!). They might have some bruises or scratches, especially if forceps or a ventouse has been used to aid delivery. In some rare cases they may have a dislocation or broken bone.
These things can be treated with homeopathy. But, there’s two important things to remember here.
First off, all homeopathy does is help the body heal itself.
Babies have magical healing powers of their own! Check out their skin and how quickly it heals, it is incredible.
In most cases, newborns will recover very well with lots of cuddles, reassurance, closeness, sleep and milk.
If they have had a bit of a harder time, then they may need more individualised help. Book a free no obligation chat with me to see what that could look like, by clicking here.
Secondly, many women take remedies themselves following labour to help their recovery. See my post here for me details on remedies for labour and recovery.
These remedies will very often be for exactly what your baby needs too. Namely, to help reduce bruising, swelling and helping to heal any trauma.
You and your baby are a unit. The fourth (and possibly fifth) trimester are very real in my world.
You’re so close to your baby, whatever you take will help them too.
I hope this helps answer some questions you may have.

Happy cuddling – there is nothing in the world like newborn cuddles.
